Third:

The Faculty accepts applicants who hold a university degree (provided no more than five years have passed since graduation), after passing the musical aptitude tests held by the Faculty in accordance with the decisions of the Supreme Council of Universities and relevant laws and regulations. Previous equivalent courses completed in earlier years are not counted toward the student's GPA.

Admission and Registration

First:

The Faculty accepts students holding the General Secondary Certificate in both scientific and literary tracks, as well as equivalent Arab and foreign certificates, according to the admission criteria set by the Supreme Council of Universities. Applications are submitted through the Coordination Office. The Faculty Council sets the following requirements:
• Passing the musical aptitude test held by the Faculty.
• Medical fitness, including auditory, linguistic, and motor capabilities.
• Visually impaired students may be accepted, provided they master the Braille method.
• Students holding a musical secondary certificate from various art academies may be accepted into the first academic level, provided they pass the musical aptitude tests. They are not enrolled in the appropriate academic level until a scientific equivalency is conducted for them in accordance with the conditions approved by the Faculty Council.

Second:

Students may be accepted for transfer from non-specialized colleges or institutes (governmental – private – national) provided no more than two years have passed since their enrollment or since obtaining the secondary certificate or its equivalent. They will be considered based on the same GPA required in their year of graduation, with a maximum of 10% of the new student intake, as determined by the Faculty Council. Students must pass the musical aptitude tests in accordance with the conditions set by the Council.

Study System

The study system is based on the Credit Hours System. The academic degree is awarded once the student fulfills all graduation requirements, including the minimum duration of study, as defined by the Faculty's internal regulations:
• A total of 144 credit hours are distributed, with a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 16 hours per semester (exceptionally up to 19 hours for distinguished students, as per regulations).
• The academic year consists of two main semesters (Fall and Spring), each lasting 15 weeks.
• Upon the recommendation of the relevant department and approval by the Faculty Council, a Summer Semester may be offered for six weeks with a maximum of 8 credit hours. Weekly class hours are doubled for summer courses, and final exams are held after week six.
• A summer semester may be allocated for the Bachelor's graduation project.
• A student must complete the total required hours within a maximum of 10 academic years, not including semesters of approved suspension or withdrawal.
